Terms of service

Version of 11 October 2026. This is a translation provided for convenience. The Russian text is legally binding, and it prevails in case of any discrepancy.

Individual entrepreneur Maksim Vladislavovich Kuznetsov (the Provider) offers any legally capable individual (the Customer) a contract for information services on the terms set out below. This document is a public offer under Article 437(2) of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.

1. Definitions

1.1. Site means the Provider’s website at https://c-bx.ru, including all its pages and the English version.

1.2. Course means a set of videos and accompanying materials on a given topic published on the Site. The contents of the Course, the number and length of videos are shown on the Course page.

1.3. Account means the section of the Site available to the Customer after signing in with their email address and password. The videos of a purchased Course open there.

1.4. Feedback means the author’s reply, in free form, to an audio or video recording of the Customer’s playing sent through the Account: a text or voice (audio) message.

1.5. Acceptance means full and unconditional acceptance of this offer by the actions described in section 3.

2. Subject of the contract

2.1. The Provider gives the Customer access to the paid Course in the Account and, on the terms of section 6, the opportunity to receive Feedback, and the Customer pays for these services.

2.2. The name of the Course, its contents and price are shown on the Course page and in the checkout window.

2.3. The Course is informational. The Provider does not issue educational certificates and does not guarantee any particular result: it depends on how regularly the Customer practises and on their prior experience.

2.4. To practise, the Customer needs their own instrument (a hang), a device with an up-to-date browser and internet access. Providing these is the Customer’s responsibility.

3. Conclusion of the contract

3.1. The contract is concluded when the order is paid on the Site. By entering an email address in the checkout window and paying for the order, the Customer confirms that they have read and accept this offer and the Privacy Policy.

3.2. There is no need to sign up in advance. At checkout the Provider creates an account for the given address; after payment the account is activated and the password is sent to that address.

3.3. The email address given at checkout is the Customer’s login and the address for receipts and notices under the contract. The Customer can change it by writing to the Provider.

3.4. The Customer must be at least 18 years old. A person aged 14 to 18 may place and pay for an order only with the written consent of their legal representative (Article 26 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). By paying for the order, the Customer confirms that they are 18 or older or that such consent has been obtained.

4. Price and payment

4.1. The Course price is shown on the Site in roubles. Payment is made in roubles only. Prices converted into other currencies on the Site are for reference at the Central Bank of Russia rate and do not affect the amount paid.

4.2. Payment is made by non-cash means through the payment service shown on the Site. The Customer’s payment obligation is fulfilled when the money reaches the Provider.

4.3. The Provider may change prices on the Site. The price of a paid order does not change after payment.

4.4. A receipt is sent electronically to the address given at checkout.

5. Access to the Course

5.1. Access to the Course opens in the Account as soon as payment is received and is granted with no time limit for as long as the Course is published on the Site.

5.2. The account may be used on no more than three devices. When signing in from a new device, the Provider may ask for a confirmation code sent to the Customer’s address. Videos can be watched on only one device at a time. The Customer can remove a device in their profile.

5.3. Access is granted for personal non-commercial use. The Customer may not share their sign-in details with third parties, give other people access to the videos, or copy, record, download, publish or otherwise distribute Course materials.

5.4. The Customer’s email address is shown in the video during playback. If the Provider finds signs that access has been shared or materials distributed, the Provider may suspend access and ask the Customer for an explanation, and if a breach is confirmed, terminate access without a refund.

5.5. The Site records which parts of the videos the Customer has actually played. This data is used to track progress and to calculate refunds (section 8).

5.6. The Provider may update and improve Course materials without reducing their scope. The Provider will try to give advance notice of planned maintenance of the Site.

6. Feedback

6.1. The Customer may send an audio or video recording of their playing with questions for the author through the Account.

6.1.1. Feedback is included in the service only if the Course is paid for (access to it is opened) by the date stated on the Course page. For the course «An Original Course in Hang Improvisation» this is by 31 October 2026 inclusive (Moscow time).

6.1.2. Each Customer receives no more than two reviews per Course. The next recording can be sent after the previous one has been answered.

6.2. The author replies within 14 business days of the recording being sent. The author chooses the form of the reply — a text or voice (audio) message. A text reply is sent to the Customer’s address and appears in the Account; the author may send a voice message to a messenger if the Customer has provided a contact there (for example, in the note to the recording).

6.2.1. Feedback is the author’s personal view of the Customer’s recording: what already works and what is worth practising. The author decides the length, level of detail and content of the reply; the contract sets no requirements for them. The feedback service is deemed rendered once the reply has been sent to the Customer.

6.3. By sending a recording, the Customer allows the Provider to use it only to prepare the reply. The recording is not published or passed on to third parties without the Customer’s separate consent.

7. Rights and obligations of the parties

7.1. The Provider shall:

— give the Customer access to the paid Course and keep the Site running;
— answer the Customer’s enquiries at the email address shown on the Site;
— keep the Customer’s personal data confidential.

7.2. The Customer shall:

— give a valid email address and pay for the order;
— keep their password secret and not share access to the Course with third parties;
— respect the Provider’s rights to the Course materials.

7.3. The Customer may withdraw from the contract as described in section 8.

8. Withdrawal and refunds

8.1. The Customer may withdraw from the contract at any time. Within 14 calendar days of payment no reason is required.

8.2. On withdrawal the Provider refunds the amount paid minus the cost of the part of the Course already watched. If the Customer has not started watching the videos, the full amount is refunded.

8.3. A video counts as watched if the Customer has actually watched 10% or more of it. Only playback counts: seeking and marking a video as done without watching are not counted. The introductory video, which is open to everyone on the Course page, is not counted.

8.4. The cost of the watched part is proportional to duration: the Course price is multiplied by the ratio of the total length of watched videos to the total length of all paid videos of the Course, rounded to the nearest rouble. For example, at a price of 10,900 roubles, if videos totalling 38 minutes out of 123 count as watched, 3,367 roubles are retained and 7,533 roubles are refunded.

8.5. Viewing data is taken from the Site’s playback log; on request the Provider tells the Customer which videos were counted and to what extent.

8.6. To get a refund, the Customer writes to the Provider from the address given at checkout to the email address in the Site footer. The Provider refunds the money by the same method used for payment within 10 days of receiving the request. After a refund, access to the Course is closed.

8.7. If the services were provided improperly, the Customer may make the claims provided for by the Russian Consumer Protection Law. The Provider replies to a claim within 10 working days.

9. Intellectual property

9.1. Videos, texts, images and other Course materials are protected by copyright law. The rights belong to the Provider or to authors who have an agreement with the Provider.

9.2. Paying for the Course gives the Customer the right to view the materials in the Account for personal use and does not transfer any exclusive rights.

9.3. Downloading, screen recording, copying, publishing and distributing Course materials without the right holder’s written permission is prohibited. The Provider records such violations (including by the email address visible in the video) and protects its rights as provided by Russian law: it demands that the violation stop, that the materials be removed, and that compensation be paid (Articles 1252 and 1301 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation). An infringer may face administrative liability (Article 7.12 of the Code of Administrative Offences) or criminal liability (Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

10. Personal data

10.1. The Provider processes the Customer’s personal data in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 «On Personal Data» and the Privacy Policy published on the Site.

10.2. The parties keep confidential any information received from each other in performing the contract, except where disclosure is required by law.

11. Liability

11.1. The parties are liable for failure to perform or improper performance of the contract in accordance with Russian law.

11.2. The Provider is not liable for interruptions in access caused by faults in the Customer’s equipment or internet connection, or by actions of third parties beyond the Provider’s control.

11.3. Links to third-party websites (for example, to freely available backing tracks) are given for convenience. The Provider is not responsible for the content of third-party websites.

12. Force majeure

12.1. The parties are released from liability if performance of the contract becomes impossible due to force majeure: actions of public authorities, epidemics, natural disasters, major failures of communication networks and power supply, and other extraordinary circumstances.

12.2. A party affected by such circumstances notifies the other party within 30 working days. If the circumstances last longer than 60 working days, either party may withdraw from the contract.

13. Term and changes to the offer

13.1. The offer is valid from its publication on the Site until it is withdrawn by the Provider.

13.2. The Provider may change the offer by publishing a new version on the Site. The new version applies to orders paid after its publication. The terms of an order already paid cannot be made worse.

13.3. The contract remains in force until the parties have fully performed their obligations.

14. Other terms

14.1. The contract is governed by the law of the Russian Federation.

14.2. The parties try to settle disputes by negotiation. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is heard in court in accordance with Russian law, taking consumer rights into account.

14.3. The language of the contract is Russian. The English translation of the offer on the Site is provided for convenience; in case of discrepancy, the Russian text prevails.

14.4. Email correspondence between the addresses given by the Customer at checkout and by the Provider on the Site is recognised by the parties as a proper form of communication.
